IDG A&R (Artists and Repertoire) representative is the primary bridge between a music artist and the record labels, managing both the creative direction and the business viability of our talent.
Core Duties
Talent Scouting: Discovering new unsigned musicians by attending live shows, tracking streaming data, and networking with managers, lawyers, and producers.
Creative Guidance: Shaping the artist's musical sound, picking commercially viable songs (repertoire), and pairing performers with the right songwriters, session players, and record producers.
Studio Oversight: Managing recording sessions, scheduling studio time, keeping projects on budget, and ensuring the final recordings meet commercial standards.
Internal Advocacy: Acting as an in-house champion for the artist, pitching the signed act and their music to other label departments like radio promotion, marketing, and sales.
